We developed a new key visual for the German section in close cooperation with RSF in 2022. The visual language we developed addresses, visualises, and communicates aspects of »uncovering« and »making visible«. Thus the key visual simultaneously refers to the two interlinked thematic fields that characterise RSF’s work. It refers both to free journalism, which provides uncensored information and backgrounds, and to RSF’s ambitious work of making visible colleagues from the media landscape who have been censored. The clear, high-contrast motif has a high recognition value and can be used in a variety of ways in different media.
